Welcome to AccessMD

Services

Appointments

No appointment is necessary to visit AccessMD Urgent Care unless you are attending one of our speciality clinics.

Injections

AccessMD Urgent Care can provide all of your injection needs including B12, allergy, flu shots, hormone, anti-psychotics and immunizations. Again, no appointment is necessary.

Wait Times

Prompt, high quality medical service is our priority. We attempt to minimize wait times as often as possible and often have two physicians working during high volume periods.  Patients are also welcome to register at our front desk and then leave the clinic during their estimated waiting time.

Prescriptions

Prescriptions can be refilled through a visit to the clinic. This policy is intended to ensure that the medication you are taking is still the best medication for you and in the most appropriate dosage for you.

Narcotics

The clinic has a policy against prescribing narcotics, sleeping pills and anti-anxiety medication. These will only be prescribed in exceptional circumstances and by independent consideration of the physician.

Test Results

If one of the clinic physicians orders a diagnostic test for you, a follow up visit is almost always required. If your problem requires investigation, it is important for you to follow up regarding the results.

Laboratory

Laboratory services are available at all LifeLabs locations throughout St. Catharines including 282 Linwell Road and 589 Lake Street.

X-Ray Facilities

X-ray And Ultrasound facilities are located a short drive away at either 282 Linwell Road or 589 Lake Street.

Patient Confidentiality

Privacy is vitally important to us. No information will be given out about any patient to any person (including lawyers, insurance companies, friends and even family members) without a signed consent form from the patient except where disclosure is specifically required by law.

Flu Shot Campaign

We are currently offering seasonal flu shots and H1N1 flu shots during all regular clinic hours.

Uninsured Physician Services

For services not covered by OHIP, current rates are available upon request. Please note that fees for form completions are based upon the length of time that is taken to complete the form including any necessary chart review and photocopying.
