Dr. Fraser MacKay, MD, FACEP, MCFP(EM)
Dr. Fraser MacKay has been a member of the St. Catharines community for the past 27 years. A graduate of Ridley College, he attended Queen's University (BA) 1976 and McMaster University (MD) 1979. His Specialty Fellowship in Emergency Medicine [FACEP, MCFP(EM)] was awarded in 1986. Additional training was pursued in Health Care Management at the University of Toronto in 1990. He specializes in the organization and implementation of healthcare projects through strategic partnerships.
Dr. MacKay is the past Chief of Emergency Services at Hotel Dieu Hosptial in St. Catharines. He is cofounder/owner of AccessMD Inc., a company specializing in ambulatory care provision in Niagara. He is also cofounder/owner of Segue Clinic, a methadone treatment center for drug addiction. He remains an active community based physician.
Dr. MacKay is married and has two children. He remains an active volunteer with a variety of medical and non-medical projects both locally and in Africa.
Dr. Robert Fallis, MD, FCFP, MRO
Dr. Robert Fallis is a keen proponent of primary care medicine. He has experienced primary care medicine from many major venues while functioning as a family physician, an emergency physician, the cofounder/owner of AccessMD Inc., the owner of Segue Clinic and as the father of three young children.
He graduated from the University of Alberta (1985) and completed a residency in Family Medicine.
He is CEO of Your Home Doctor Inc. a company dedicated to providing information and products which empower individuals to better understand and participate in their own health care. He is also a partner in The Medius Publishing Group, a company specializing in medical editing, design, production and marketing of both traditional and electronic medical information. Through this group, they have published the first two books of the Your Home Doctor series. These books deal with common medical problems affecting specific life stages, from "womb to tomb". They have received parenting awards as well as consumer and trade reviews for their books and internet content. The first two books of the series have become a best selling series within Canada.
Dr. Fallis also specializes in performing vasectomies at AccessMD and contributes as a medical expert for many radio and television shows and can be seen as a regular medical expert on CityLine (CITY TV) with Marilyn Denis.
Dr. Brent Derksen, MD, CCFP, MRO
Originally from British Columbia, Dr. Brent Derksen migrated east to complete his post-graduate training at the University of Toronto. During this time, vacations in Niagara sparked his interest in the region. After a brief tenure on staff in a Toronto hospital, he and his wife moved to St. Catharines.
The majority of his early practice experience was devoted to Emergency Medicine. However, during the past 5 years, Dr. Derksen has co-founded Segue Clinic, a methadone treatment center for drug addiction as well as become an owner of AccessMD Inc. His practice has diversified to reflect his professional interests while meeting the medical needs of the community.

While Dr.'s Derksen, Fallis and MacKay are the owners/operators of AccessMD Urgent Care, there are several other ER department and family practice physicians who work at the clinic and provide excellent, comprehensive medical care. The well trained and highly dedicated support staff are also committed to ensuring that your medical needs are addressed.
